Default Electrical Gremlins Help!

I have had some strange things of late. Haven't had C5 but a month, but sometimes when I adjust tilt wheel, the wipers come on. I have to hit the washer fluid button to cut them off. This morning very cold, fluid tubing frozen so wipers would not cut off at all!! I had to pull fuse. last week the blinkers stopped working for a 10 min period, hasn't happened since. Maybe a short in Steering column??? Or should I look at connections?

Any suggestions..... Thanks

I would be looking at the wires/connector coming out of the column multifunction switch and see if it is shorting to metal somewhere.

You have to remove the knee bolster as well to get it apart and therefore gain access to the area of concern

Thanks, I am new and not a mechanic, however I find that I can do pretty much whatever I set my mind to, so I will see how it goes. I already see that if I am going to keep this toy I am going to get a manual. It is cosmetically perfect, however there are some small electrical issues. I have found from the Forum here that some are common, such as HVAC lites out on dash. Headlamp motor noise, etc... I kinda think I have a short in the column or a bad connection, although it could be a switch.

I found out where the knee bolster is. Thanks
