If I have the car cranked to the left or rigt , on a little incline, like the driveway, I get kind of a snap sound in the right front. I have taken off the wheels, and looked around. I can't see anything that looks worn out.
I don't hear it when traveling down the road. Just when slowly back or going forward and always on the passenger side. Should I just take it to the dealer or a front end shop? If I foun a bushing wore our or something I could fix, thought I would ask what to check.
The first thing is to narrow down where the noise is coming from. I always get a friend (that can drive a manual)to slowly move the car back and forth until I isolate where the sound is coming from. You also need to determine if the noise is only when the wheels are turned to the extreme side or if a moderate angle also produces the same sound. Once you have more clues, I'm sure the forum can suggest the culprit.
I had a "clunk" up front, right side, during left turns. Not always but most of the time. I was guessing it was the steering or suspension. Started looking around under the hood first and found out my battery was not completely tightened down! Fixed that and the clunk was gone!
