Default Memory Settings

OK, I get in the car and set the drivers seat position where I want it. I then push the #1 memory button on the drivers side door and wait for it to blink. This should remember my seat position right?
Well, I then use my FOB while sitting in the car and unlock...driver seat stays in same place ok.
Next I wait about 1-2 minutes and do it again and the drivers seat moves away from the memory setting when I hit unlock???
What is going on here?

How do I get the memory to keep the seat in the same place?
It seems to work with the FOB ok for only a short time, and then it is back to setting the seat where "IT" wants to??

I will note that "my" setting of the seat is all the way back and when it resets, it moves ahead slightly. Maybe my setting is outside the memory set point and it only moves into the memory set point??? Weird

Help

Are you using the same FOB or the spare. One of the FOBs is for Memory 1 and the other is for 2. Maybe you are setting Memory 1, but using FOB 2. They are labeld on back. At least mine are.

You can self-program either remote as #1 or #2 by using the DIC.

1. Using the FOB for memory #1.
2. DIC easy entry is off.
When I use the FOB unlock the seat moves to "its" setting. I put the key in the ignition and turn it on....no change in seat position. I hit memory #1 and no change in position. Must be out of the memory range "all the way back".

Check your DTC codes for a SCM LDCM or RDCM code.

I just had mine SCM replaced because the seats would move front all the way up and all the way back when the fob was press. pass. seat was very frequent drivers infrequent.
