Default 3.90 has arrived. advice needed

3.90 arrived without any break-in directions or fluid reccommendations. Can some one advise me on those two issues.

The instructions I got got were normal driving for 500mi or so (no hard accel though) on GM fluid, then change to preferred brand. "Normal driving" was to include lots of surface street speeds, turns, etc.
