I just installed new tires. My right front TPMS had been reading xxx on the DIC for a while now. Once the new tires were on the right rear read 0 for a while, eventually showed proper psi reading, then xxx by the end of the day. The next afternoon, the other two began showing xxx.
I tried to do the learning process for them using a magnet but, since the right front was bad I could only do the left front. I understand that as a result, the other three wouldn't show up now but shouldn't the left front still work?
That is correct, it is time to replace them. Typically, the batteries in the monitors last about 8 years on average. The good thing is, your generation of sensors are fairly cheap. Check out Costco, they sell them.
I had the same thing happen to me. After about a week, for some unknown reason... they all programed and are still working several months later. Go figure.
