So a couple weeks ago I resoldered my Dual Climate Controller to fix the dim light issue. Everything was working fine for a while but now the controller is randomly doing its own thing. It will go from off to everything on full blast and set at 90. Then it will shut its self off. Anyone else seen anything like this? Is the controller shot?

Thanks but I've already rechecked what I soldered. Ive tried leaving the battery unhooked overnight and also pulling the unit out and cleaning the pins and reinstalling it. Any other ideas? Anyone else have this problem?

Hadn't experienced the problem after fixing mine but Lucky131969 is right. As any good electronics tech will tell you, if the unit was working beforehand (aside from the dim lcd) and the only thing that was done was resoldering, then you need to go back and inspect the re-soldered points, ok, very carefully and very closely inspect, because that's where the problem is. Carefully look for solder or flux that may have flowed and is shorting one point to another point. Use a pointed object to scrape away any solder or flux that may be shorting but do not break or lift the land, the electrical connection that is embedded on the board. Look to see that solder points are not dull, they should be shiny. If dull you could have a cold joint - no electrical connection. resolder dull points.
Did you use a 25w iron or a soldering gun? I'll assume 60/40 solder used, correct? If too much heat was applied (using a gun) you could have damaged one of the surface mount components.
