My check engine came on today, for 01,with 74,000 miles. the codes were,PO442 and P1518. Is this major, or can I fix it with just a change of something simple? I have zero to little experence. AW

Any history here? Has the battery gone low recently? Is the gas gap secure?
Retighten gas cap with a few clicks, about a month ago or three starts ago, I had to charge battery.
Ok. The P0442 can be a poor sealing gas cap. The P1518 can be precipitated by a low voltage condition with the battery. It is important to include the full code. The number will be followed by an "H" indicating history, or "C" indicating a current problem. After you have noted the "H or C" status, clear the codes.
Maybe my computer is not doing what it is supposed to, but when I clicked your link it did not show all the codes......help me to figure out what's not happening for me.
