I can buy a set between two vender's, (1) rear RT from one the other three from another. The three from Tire rack on the conformation e-mail show's YR while the other vender shows ZR.
Is this a typo or are there two speed ratings on the KD's.The size is 295/35-18. Thank's
Tripp
I think it's a typo, I cant find any YR rating on these tire's.
JB,are those 265/35's on the front, and how many mile's did you get out of the last set .
Yup, 265/35/18 on front. My last set were on stock rims, front was 255/40/17. I can't say exactly how long they lasted since they still had some pretty good tread on them when I upgraded the wheels. You can't go wrong with these tires! The ride is much more stable with this setup then the stock wheel G-force setup.

I'm glad to hear that, while my motor is still under the knife I ordered 00 repo chrome 18X10.5's for the rear. Then I'll move the 18X9.5 up front with 265, and 295 in back.
I think after the intial shock of the $ I've put in the motor I'll look at some HRE rim's.
Man I love that hood.... Happy cruising/dragging with that ride
A Y speed rated tire is also a ZR tire. ZR rating is kind of a "catch all" for any tire rated over 149 mph. Y is actually the highest rating, 186 mph, but because 186 is over 149, the manufacturer has the option of calling it a ZR tire. So actually, a Y speed rated tire is the highest rating you can get
Quote from tiresafety.com website: "Any tire with a speed capability above 149 mph(240(kph) can, at the tire manufacturer's option, include a "ZR" in the size designation (P275/40ZR17). If a service description IS NOT included with the size description, the tire manufacturer must be consulted for the maximum speed capability(P275/40ZR17--speed capability is >149mph). If a service description IS included with the size description, the speed capability is limited by the speed symbol in the service description (P275/40ZR17 93W = maximum speed 168 mph)"
So the bottom line is the they are the same tire and same speed rating, just listed differently :)
Re: Speed rating ? on BFG G-Force KD (yellowy2kc5)

Your car is looking great!
Will the KD's fit on my rims or should I wait?
