Default Proper rim width for 275 front

Guys just ordered a set of 19/19 Forgestar F14 in gloss black for my triple black Vert, now I need to order tires. The front rim is 19 x 9.0, from what I have seen from the tire manufacturers a 9.0 wide rim is the minimum recommend width for a 275 tire. Will I be ok with a 275/30 on a 9" wide rim? Does the tire look ok or does it look to big for the rim? I will be running 305/30 in the rear.

Thanks,

Have you checked your diameter front to rear.??
It may look ok although usually with a 30 rear folks use a 35 front.

I run a 275 on a 10 in rim and it looks "right". 9's going to be a little narrow but a lot of people do it.

with his set up as described the front diameter will be 25.6" the rear 26.3". He should be ok regarding any AH/TC issues.

You can go to this site and plug in the wheel and tire sizes to get all sorts of good info.

That would be the case if he was using an 18/19 combo, in his case with a 19/19 that will be fine.

Thanks,
I checked and the 275/30/19 on 9" rim is ok... but the 305/30/19 shows a min. of 9.5" rim... Anybody on the forum run 305/30/19 on a 9" rim ?????????

Not sure about a 9" but a few on a 9.5" I think, not that I would......

I am thinking I would be better off with a staggered setup 18/19 with a 35 series tire upfront. A 30 series has an awful short sidewall.

That's the way I went, 18x10 front and 19x11 in back, I like the staggered look. JMO
