Default mods for a 2002

Have a 2002 and am looking for some upgrades. The Donaldson Blackwing has lots of good write ups, but I've read not as effective on 2002's, any comment? What is the best system without cutting or drilling?

The blackwing is fine and after your computer relearns itself (about 100 or so miles) you will be happy.

I put a Blackwing, Corsa Indy, and 178 T-Stat on my 02 vert. They are great mods :) Waiting to install my Powerloader. :flag

Blackwing will still significantly improve '02 z06 and coupe.

Go with a Vortex Setup!!! Its a bottom breather!!!

No offense to the Blackwing, but where is the air coming from? I noticed that the shroud isn't cut on a blackwing

If I understand you right, there is no shroud on the Blackwing; it just kinda sits open. Check out the pictures in the Tech Tips.

I've been toying with the idea of opening up my fog light covers to allow more air into the compartment that it rests in, but my budget has been my limiting factor.

What I was referring to was the radiator shroud. On my vortex, we cut a square hole in the radiator shroud, which the vortex box sits on top off!

Ahhh. The Blackwing isn't a bottom breather, unless you get the special shroud. All I have is the filter, so it acts just like the stock airbox as far as where it gets it's air from. No cutting. :)

I just got my digital camera so I'll take some pix and post em.
