Is the 2002 Z06 airbox lid really worth it? Does anyone have a 2002 A4 that can tell me what the "before and after" dyno results are when going from the stock intake to the Z06 airbox lid. I am just talking about the lid here not any after-market filter replacement.

Re: Z06 Airbox Lid (C5Finally)
I have an MN6 and put only the '02 ZO6 lid on. There may be a slight increase in power above 3000 RPM, but I have not Dyno'd it to confirm. The engine sounds better under wide open throttle though.
Do what I did, And it should out flow the Z06 Lid & it cost no $$! :D
Just a few minutes of work. click below to see the Air box mod.
Yes,you CAN tell a difference
Someone dyno'd (before/after) the Z06 lid a couple months ago, only picked up 3 rwhp. If your going to spend money on an intake, get Donaldson or Vortex.
For $45 it can't be beat especially if your worried about drivibilty issues (surging), water injestion and warranty issues. If the LS6 can generate over 360 RWHP with this lid I'm sure it's up to the task for the LS1.
I take all those HP claims from aftermarket manufactures cut it in half and hope to get that. This part works in the Z06 why wouldn't it work better on the LS1?
Dyno results - go to Ken's weekly Newsletter to see a posted before/after dyno. 14 RWHP gain. I've seen at least 10 RWHP from 3 different C5's in a recent Dyno Day held in St Louis for my Corvette Club. Watch out for the hype. I figure the GM-Corvette Team knew something about generating HP in the small block Chevy.
