Default Methanol Shelf Life

I have an open 5 gal can of methanol that has been in my garage sitting on a piece of carpet for 2 yrs. There is about 2-3 gal in it. Speed shop says as long as it is sealed tight it should be fine.

Not sure about this.

Anyone have a definitive answer?

True, if it's not sealed, u don't have to worry about shelf life because it will evaporate.

Should last forever. If it's still a liquid it will be fine. Any oxidation products would be gases.
