The glacier in front of my house finally melted enough for me to get my car to the big side of the garage so I could put all my winter mods on prior to Spring.... So I have one question.. I bought the power duct with it and maybe it's me but I can't figure out how to get the MAF in to the powerduct!!! I didn't want to force it and I read some other threads about silicone lubricant.... I can tell you that no amount of lubricant will help this thing slide in... Any ideas?? For now I have my stock air bridge on and I can still tell you that I have to agree with the others that say the SOTP feel is phenomenal!!!
With the stock Vararam you push the MAF into the upper filter housing. Is this the same idea? I lightly heated the upper filter housing with a torch and the plastic softened up enough to let it slide in like butter.
How did your filter fit. I had gaps around the filter in the upper housing like in this pic;
I pulled that foam out and used some RTV to seal the filter into that housing. Gaps like that will let dirt into the engine.

if you have alot of problems with the power duct dont install it not worth the hassel they fit like crap and the hp gains are minimal . a few people here have removed them because they just didnt fit right. but some have with some modifiying get them to fit. Just My Opinion. I did not buy one with my vararam and it works great
If you have the patience to modify it to fit, then use it. If you don't have the patience(like me) take it to someone who has worked with them.

I put the vararam and slp longtubes with hi flow cats, x pipe all on at the same time. Wow the car is a beast even without a tune. I break the tired loose at a 50 kick on the motor without the nitrous. It really feels alive in the upper rpms where it did not before. I am very pleased.
It is a tight squeeze.Are you inside or working out in the cold?My duct fit just fine and looks great.it did not improve my ET's but does seem to have a bit crisper throttle response on the street.
So far it sounds like I need to heat it up.... lube it up.... and then just jam it in and it will be a tight fit but will go...
Man I love my Corvette and this forum!!! My wife after telling her the diagnosis got a little suspicious or maybe even jealous but back out to the garage I go.....
