any help guys any suggestions my service active handling comes on everytime I drive. My car is an 01 c5 auto with 57k on it, does not look abused. Thanks in advance fellas.
Since you have them written down except for the H or C part of each code (which you really need), clear them all then restart the car and see what comes back. I'm thinking your steering wheel position sensor is dying or your car is out of alignment.
I agree some might be history codes, sorry about not including the history or current I wrote them down as it was going pretty fast. Id still like to know what codes were set, is there a dtc chart I can look up, I tried doing a search and found some and not others. I will clear all codes and recheck tonight.
More than likely if you just clear them they will go away as they were just a intermintemt problem---
TCS or ABS or Active Handling codes are usually triggered by a wheel speed sensor fault--As they all use the wheel speed sensor data to control your car for different reasons---
They are often false triggered by-
getting soaking wet and foul (car wash) ( huge puddle)
wires and pigtals get broken or disconnected ( just time)
driving over a rough road or going over rail-road tracks--
Do you think my service active handling is connected with it? After reading so many posts about abs units being defective I automatically assumed mine is probably faulty also.
The Active Handling system looks at numerous items to determine if you are sliding, fish-tailing and so on and then takes action with the brakes to attempt to help out the driver. Throttle position, steering wheel position(s), accellerometers, wheel speed sensors, engine rpm, throttle position and of course, the brakes. So yes, anything in that area or multiple items in that area, will impact the AH system.
Is your steering wheel centered up and the car tracking properly straight?
ok I got home checked the does and all had an h behind them marking history, except for the last system which all had h and c following them. I deleted them and went for a spin, none came back neither did my active handling light. That one will probably appear at a later point lol Im happy to report all is well and my c5 is codeless for now ! Special thanks to dgrant and all who helped. This site is awesome so is my vette lol By the way I knew these things came with a magnet standard equipment "pu$$y magnet" but also it keeps pulling you in to drive it somewhere anywhere again and again. Im hooked ! ILL PUT SOME PICTURES UP ASAP.
