Driving into work today and the CEL started flashing - seemed to be mostly when under load, like accelerating, steady flat cruise and it would go out for a short period.
Just had the car up on jack stands to change oil/trans and brake pads/bleed. CEL did not come on when I was burnishing in the pads and today is the 1st day I've driven her since.
I'm assuming something came loose perhaps during the pad burnishing procedure so my 1st check will be plug wires when I get home tonite but was looking for some other suggestions on where to look.
The DIC will only show P0300's not the P0301-308 codes that will allow you to track it to a particular cylinder. Doubt it has anything to do with your pads. A cheapy Actron type scanner will give you the other P030X codes.
