Does anyone know why at 120 mph the check engine light would flash? Once I drop the speed below 120 it stops flashing. (Shuts off completely) No codes are being set. I can repeat this at will. Engine sounds good no pinging or other noises.
 The light will flash until I drop the speed below 120!
Well if nothing else thanks for the laughs guys. I knew I could count on all of you for some comic relief! I think one of those great factory plugs may have broken off one of the stupid pucks from the bottom of it. Book says flashing light is mis-fire condition. Time to change the plugs anyway. (20,000 miles) Car sounds and pulls fine as I stated no codes. Go figure...

Is this normal or does it indicate a problem?
Has anyone else noticed this indication?
I can see the dealer ticket now. Owner indicated check engine light at 120 mph. Five dealership drivers failed to verify the condition on their test drives. :)
My TA would flash the Check Engine light when a misfire occured. In my particular instance, it would only happen at speeds over 70. After repeated trips to the dealer to get it fix and them telling me there is not a problem, I found I had a bad plug wire. I did also notice a slight studder at the higher speeds. I also believe the only reason it would happen only at the higher speeds was because of air turbulance moving the wire around and causing the short.
