Valve Spring Failure - I'm getting concerned

I have an 01 Z I bought as the 3rd owner. I read something about the "yellow" springs. Is there a way to know four sure if you have the originals besides replacing. Also is there anything that should be done since your there? Thanks

I don't believe the 01 models had any real problems. The only way to tell if the springs are original is previous owner history. You can't tell just by looking at the spring unless it's an obvious aftermarket item.
I believe most of the 02-04 springs had a yellow paint on them. I'm not sure about the 01 models.
While you're in there you might as well change the plugs and plug wires since that stuff comes off during the process anyway. In spite of how careful I tried to be I ended up pulling a plug boot off one of the wires so I'm glad I had a new set ready to install.
