New 14" Rear Rotors
As seen in a previous post the new Eradispeed rear rotors, once used will have a two tone look. The shinny ring part where the pads sit and the other ring part the original plated look.( not nice )
After reading the post and the reply from Baer that fitting the front caliper on the rear will upset the brake balance.
What if,the front caliper is fitted to the rear but first calculate the existing pad surface area on the present rear brake set up,then modify a front pad by machining or drilling at the top and bottom part only, so the new pad surface area touching the rear rotor is the same as standard.
This will then have the same brake balance and the wider brake pad will clean up the full face of the new rear rotor so you get the shinny look.
Note: modify only the soft part of the brake pad so the steel remains intact.
Only for street use and the look.
A few years ago I raced a Mini Cooper did this to fine tune the brake balance but the Vette is another beast.
So what do you guys think? Is it crazy?... Be gentle.
Manuel.

I just got the engine dyno numbers from DRM and they will ship the engine to Sweden next week.
She has been on the lift since May last year after a camchain failure :( So it's all this waiiiting to take her out for the first spin after the engine transplant that's driving me nuts :yesnod:
