ATF leak between trans and diff (A4)
Read some threads here pretty sure I will be dropping the diff and replacing the output shaft seal.
One thing about my situation that sounds a little different from others. ATF is bleeding out pretty rapidly for me. In gear with the brake applied there is a steady stream hitting the ground. At idle or in gear (on jack stands) it is a slow drip.
Noticed this when I pulled the car out of the garage after a 3 month hibernation. About 25F outside at the time.
So, am I dealing with an output shaft seal leak or something more significant?
Thanks

There's a plate that seals between the transmisson and the differential. Your seal has probably gone bad and needs to be replaced.
