A good torch and some patients is the easiest way to get the old bushings out.. Melt'em and slide the new ones in their place. Aluminum suspension parts in a press makes me nervious... if it cracks then you are done.

That's the junkyard mechanic way to do the job.
A hydraulic press can help you with pushing out the stock bushings. You can also use a ball joint press to do the job.
After pushing out the old bushings, it's a pretty simple job to clean up the bores and install the new bushings.

Your ride height is up to you. I'm just saying that if you want to go low then start off with the shock turned down into the lower housing on front and back more than you think u will need. Turning the shock back out of the lower housing to increase the ride height is no issue....
With that said......
If you start high and want to go lower you run the risk of unscrewing the top part of the shock from the upper mount. Don't ask me how I know this... NOT good !

Can I just start with it at it's lowest point and go up from there? I think that is possibly what you are saying, but wanted to make sure. Thanks for the info!

Yea you can start as low as you want and go up from there. That's my suggestion. I had NO idea where to start when I installed mine and my back was too low but I turned up the shock to get it right. No issue there.
My front was too high to start with and I found out the HARD way that turning the shock down into the lower housing WILL unscrew the top of the shock from the upper housing...
Leave the spring rates where they are to start off...
