Default Seat Gremlins unchained

Situation: With either key on unlocking, passenger mirror moves back and forth. I can hear, I think, a relay clicking near the mirror. With key #1, it does the auto adjust to the seat at a setting for a long legged midget. I have the Easy Entry in the DIC off.

No codes in DIC. I try to enter my settings for mirror and seat in either key 1 or 2. But like a cat, it just randomly ignores me.

Since I'm the only driver, I'd like to disable that whole system of auto adjust. Either that or use my Glock .40 to kill that f**king Gremlin that's changing the setting everyday.

Thanks for any suggestions.

How are you memorizing the positions? Are you pushing and holding the memory button for the fob you are using till it blinks?

Yup. Everything by the book. Dotted every I, and crossed every T.

The right side passenger mirror moving back and forth is really weird.

Okay, maybe it's not a Gremlin. Maybe haunted. Maybe I need a priest to exorcise a demon.

I do miss the more basic, raw cars that didn't try to pamper you. Get in, adjust seat, go.

Pull your codes then and post them.

First time no codes came up. Just ran the diagnostics again and got this:

60-IPC B0521H
A0-LDCM U1096H
A1-RDCM U1096H

I'll go to the thread on codes and cross check. If anyone has a clue on the cure, holler.

B0521 Tachometer Signal Circuit Malfunction

The other two are stating they can't talk to the IPC. Might want to look inside of the door accordian tubes for a possible shorting serial buss wire there. Bill Curlee has great pictures of this issue. Not sure this is your cause but check it out just in case.
