Default Started right up after cam swap!

Oh BOY what a blast it was! First crank the bad boy turned right over and purred like a tiger! Runs smooth as butter and hardly any valve train noise. I do have a idle problem seems like it wants to die and does if it gets no assist from the throttle. But after reading notes on cam swaps from LS1howto.com it states that it may take few miles or so to get the computer to learn the new cam.

I'll take it out tomorrow and put a few miles on it and check it out some more. Great oil pressure, no leaks, no coolant, everything is fine!

Did have 4 bolts on the counter I worried where they went.....but I forgot they go to the hood I need to put back on!

Had the same results after a H/C swap. It sacred the you know what out of me as it started
so easy!!!! You will need a tune and possibly a converter depending on the cam. Let us know how things go.

Rick, I have the same cam and just love it. I had to drive about 30 miles to get the PCM to relearn the idle. Get a dyno tune it made a world of difference.

Best of luck, I'm sure you'll be happy. I still have the idle problem and just have to get another $500 for the tune.

Other than that the car runs fine!!!!

Let me know how you do when you turn it over!

Car started to idle after more miles so I guess the PCM does learn as it goes.....who'd a thunk it?
