Is it necessary to do figure 8's after changing rear end diff fluid? i read this somewhere, but so long as the diff is already broken in, i don't really see why it would be necessary.

If you are just changing differential lube for preventive maintainance reasons and your positraction wasn't chattering, you probably do not need to immeadiately work the new lube and additive between the clutches. It will distribute there eventually. I've read that a different additive is used by Red Line and Amsoll in their synthetic gear lubes than GM uses in there dino gear lube. :yesnod:
