I've been doing it for a few years now without any issues. It's a decent improvement over stock. I'm going with some HID's from JWM soon though, just to get the best light out-put possible...plus is looks
Been running 885s for 5 years and you should reaim the fogs too

Run the fogs with parking lights and low beams. They are set way too low. Park about 20 feet in front of a light surface like your garage door and reaim them to match the low beams. Takes a few minutes with a Torx wrench. You won't believe the difference.

Thank you for your input. and with your instructions I'll be aligning the fog lights. I know as I get older I'm gonna want to switch to HID setup, but not right now.
If you ever drove in heavy fog and needed to use your fog lights, you don't want them pointed the same as the low beams are. Fog lights have a bar-shaped beam with a sharp cutoff at the top, and are located, aimed and mounted low for a reason. They are pointed low towards the road surface immediately in front of the car to minimize glare back while driving in fog. Reaiming them with the low beams defeats the purpose. In heavy fog, you would shut your low beams off and use only the fogs. If they are reaimed up, they will be like driving with your low beams on.
Oh and if you do reaim the fogs with the low beams, and use them together, depending on law enforcement where you are, you can get a ticket for over-illumination and blinding oncoming drivers.

Maybe fog in Florida is worse than the other 49 states
My fogs don't over iluminate the road. HID fogs DO. Tell everyone on the forum that their HID lights are illegal. See what responses you get.
My Minivan and XUV as well as the C5 all allow fogs to be on with the low beams and cut off with the high beams. I drive with them on whenever I have the low beams on and find the OVER ILLUMINATION an extra margin of safety for me and anyone or anything in front of my vehicle.

I didn't say hids were illegal. Where do you read that? You should try reading what it actually says before quoting. What I said was, Oh and if you do reaim the fogs with the low beams, and use them together, DEPENDING on law enforcement where you are, you CAN get a ticket for over-illumination and blinding oncoming drivers.
