My 2000 Coupe MN6 has again developed a high pitch squeal over 1500 RPMs.
The idler pulley and belt were replaced once already about a year ago (similar symptoms). The noise disappears immediately when depressing clutch and reappears when engine tachs over 1500 clutch in or out. Do I have another defective pulley or could it be something else? Want to have a few ideas before taking in to the dealer. Thanks to all.
With things like this, just when you think you know what is wrong with the car it turns out to be something else. A while back I hears a squeal in my car and it turned out to be the water pump... just drop it off at the dealership and let them fix it cause, we are never going to be able to tell you what is wrong without being there to hear it for ourselves. ;)
