Corvette randomly stays at 2000rpms ??
I rebuilt the engine in my 99 vette last summer. stock rebuild but w/ 224/224 .580/.580 112 cam and headers, and 43# injectors. I tuned it w/ wideband and HP tuners.
Car dialed in perfectly... had no issues. A/F is right on, I can cruise in 4th at 30mph fine. Drove it for a couple weeks and all of a sudden the idle started staying at 2000rpms. While driving, while clutch is in, while stopped.
I put it away for the winter. Got it out today. Drove just fine on a 2 mile trip. Came home. got ready to take it to the car wash, it did the typical 10 second column lock error, pull key and wait 10 seconds. Then started it up and it was in high idle mode again at 2000rpms. Any ideas?
I just went out and hooked my laptop up to scan it..... the only codes are miscommunication w/ pcm in history. And some Brake thing affecting the TCS. Nothing else. And the car was idling normal again.
-------------------------------------------------------
Let the car sit an hour. Drove it about 3 miles, perfectly fine. beat on it a little, perfectly fine. So i decided to stop and shut it off and restart it......BAM. After its restarted it went into 2000rpm idle mode and stayed there.

Its a tuning issue. Mine has developed the same issue but only when I turn on my AC. I plan to get it tuned out son from a local tuner. I was told its a quick fix from my tuner.
Toque
1st--by removing a % to the entire "throttle follower" table decay rate in gear---If it wants to die after--you went too far and back it off--I would start by removng 10%
2nd--- "0" out the "throttle cracker" in gear from 0-4 MPH this helps it when coming to a stop---BUT if it hangs above 4 MPH subtract 50% to the rest of the table as well-- again if it wants to die/stall- back it off you went too far
3rd--"desired airflow" table---by subtracting a % to the entire table "in gear" will keep it from hanging--again if it tries to die/stall you went too far--start with subtracting 10%
Start with the 1st fix and continue til the 3rd til it's corrected---Be sure to SAVE the original tune with the inputed #'s in those tables in case you get messsed up you can go back to your original starting point--
