frame rail guard install question?

frame rail guard install question?
I bought a set from elite engineering. But Im not sure on the proper placement of them. i.e. how far up on the frame, or front to back.
any help would be appreciated. a small paper jig should come with them. that would just make it easier.

elite rocker guards
My mechanic just installed a set on my 2001. There are detailed instructions along with pictures posted on Elite's website. There are cutouts in the rocker panel where the square ends will sit.
