Do you have your owners manual? You can download a free owners manual from GMPARTSHOUSE. Look under the carpet trim in the trunk of your '01 Z06 (different in coupes?) on the drivers side.

you can also short out the two pins on the connector. one is +12V, and the other will activate the solenoid when it gets 12. I don't remember which is which...will probably spark though. my console button has been unplugged for weeks. I have mine hooked up to a remote
