I have a 2002 base suspension car, had it all of 2 weeks, love it to death, but have scraped the bottom FIVE TIMES already. How do u people lower the car TWO inches and manage? I'm just "scraping" by as it is... (no pun intended)
You have to be very careful around speed bumps, objects in the road and inclined driveways but, other than that it is not bad. BTW, my car is only lowered 1" or so. I need to re-measure now that it has settled some. Take your time, you just need to get used to driving it. :D
What did you drive before the C5, an SUV? Just use common sense, and be careful. Approach steep inclines at an angle, and avoid speed bumps whenever possible, and you'll be fine. BTW, what you hear scraping is probablly just the front black plastic air dam that pushes air up towards the radiatior. It is hinged, and will bend up and down when it comes in contact with things. Does make an ugly noise, but no harm done.

You just get used to the spots where you need to be careful. I cut the air deflectors about an inch and the frame savers and rocker rails from A&A are wounderful also.
Like they said above, all of my cars have been lowered, and I guess you just learn, where you can and can not go, mine is as low as you can go, I do have Bilstien's on it, and am just very careful, although I am surprised I havent ripped off the front spoiler yet, its only about 3 3/4 " off the ground!!
