I have read the posts on how to do this, and it seems pretty simple. MY question is I have read some posts were guys have totally removed their front bolts. First is this safe? and how is the ride quality with no bolts?
There is a right way and a wrong way to lower your car. If you are considering removing the font bolts or cutting the rubbers on them you are planning on doing it the wrong way.
Here is the link to the sticky on doing it RIGHT....
Do yourself a favor and get enough information on how to do it right from the start. You will save yourself a lot of grief and trouble if you don't just go in there and start turing the screws.
FYI, if you disconnect the rear spring and lower the car you will find that the rear bump stops will hit when the top of the tire is about even with the top of the fender lip, give or take some for body mounting tollerances. I'm sure the front will be similar but it does have more travel in it. So, think about how little suspension travel after you lower your car so you have a 1/2" fender gap. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know it will have a rough ride.
