Default Lowering w/F45 suspension

Is this possible withe F45 Adj. Suspension. I just want to tighten the bolts that are there. Also how far can you go 1/2" 1" or more? Thanks :D

Yep, it's possible. Just follow the instructions in the tech tips section.

You can go as low are you'd ever want to with just the stock bolts.

I have about one finger's width of space between the tire and the wheel well and everything works fine.

The only tough part is lowering the front because it's tough to reach the bolt. Just get a small wrench, wrap your arms around the brake rotor and turn. It's a pain, but it works.

Lowered mine 1" with no problems. I just used the built-in travel of the stock bolts.

You can slam the F45 to the ground!!! Nothing extra needed to do that!! Let us know how it works out for you. :yesnod:

You can lower the F45 TOO low. I have mine raised as far as possible with the stock bolts, and it's STILL too low. Before I raised the bolts all the way, there was 3/4" clearance between my garage floor and the radiator spoiler flap. The bolts were no where near lowered as far as they would go.......you'll soon be in the weeds.

I would not recommend lowering an F45 car more than half an inch. The shocks used on the F45 suspension do not like lowering. Premature failure is possible and these shocks are around 4-500.00 a piece to replace.

Nate is most likely right when considering the long run effects. But I lowered mine to 25" all the way around with no codes or failures. But the issues I have are that you are pre-loading the spring, and because it is so soft to begin with it arcs a lot further..and loses its ability to absorb anything. I think it just sucks...that is why I dumped the system. Everybody I know that has F45 has done something else to improve it, either swaybars, springs, or lowered. You can deactivate it too. At least I have.
