Default headlight problem need help

1. my passenger side headlight goes up half way and stops
2there is no grinding or clicking sound
3.headlights,turn signals,cruise, work
4. left side headlight works properly
my guess is that its not the gear inside the headlight motor ..also since my turn signals and the head lights upper and lower beams work properly and all interior dash light s also work properly that its not the multi function turn signal switch re the steering wheel column
5. could be the headlight door control module, or maybe a bad ground
6. I'm going to try to completely open the head light manually
7. also going to ck my codes

*where is the control module located? and can it be taken a part to inspect for corrosion?

Do you think based on the info I've supplied that its the module or a ground or perhaps my logic is faulty...and I should consider something else that I've not mentioned.

Your input and help would be greatly appreciated.:grouphug

ps headlight and motor stop at the same time(motor does not run on)

Can you raise it manually?

There is only one headlight on input to the control module, so the MFS would not be suspect. Most likely, the issue is within the motor. Could be a dead spot, etc.

:
Doubtful. The control module is functioning, or the buckets would not raise. You can verify the 12 volt output, from the control module, to the motor itself. If the motor is getting 12 volts and ground, the control module is fine.

Underneath the right headlight assembly, mounted to the bulkhead.

Sounds more like a motor to me, but the voltage/ground check at the motor will confirm that.
