Default painting gauge cluster dials

ive got my c5 ripped apart doing hud install. while ive got it ripped apart i think it would look awesome if i could put a little white paint on the ridges of the dial faces. just kind of scared. anyone else ever attempt this?

There are bezel kits available to achieve this look....not expensive, and look good.

those silver bezel pieces look amazing, but i cant spend $100 on a couple pieces of metal. i think the sharpie will work great.

As long as you are happy with the result, that's all that really matters.

just got done using the sharpie, and in the middle or reinstalling everything. its looks absolutely AWESOME!!!. ill post up pix tomorrow. i cant believe how good it looks. im so stoked. and the fact that i got the hund installed and working, pretty happy too. now just have to put the dash back in. got cut off by the rain. i would absolutely recommend to anyone doing the hud install to do this. there is no way i could justify spending $100 on a few pieces of metal. and in my opinion it looks better, its just a very thin smooth silver line. looks like it was done in the factory.

i cant figure out how to post pix. theres no paperclip to add image. just the insert picture button, but its asking for a url. below is a link to another site that i was able to upload the pix to. im really happy with the way it came out. and kind of a cool unexpected bonus, the silver sharpie i used glows a bit purple. what do you all think? thanks
