Default A4 Transmission question
I have a 2000 vette with a 4 speed Auto transmission that has a strange quirk that I hope some one can answer. When I take off from a stop the transmission shift from first to second is is a little hard, All shifts after that are completely smooth. It appartently makes no difference if I accelerate fast or slow it is still difficult to make the first gear shift smooth. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like some one either has gone in and changed your shift parameters OR Even a shift kit might have been installed ?

The 1-2 shift is always more firm than the others.. Completely normal..

1st to 2nd gear is the highest ratio change in the A4.
