I recently purchased a 99 Coupe with 60K miles - nice car that needed a few things but the price was right. I jacked the car up a few times to remove tires for cleaning of susepnsion etc and noticed each time I let the car down it seemed to be lower in front. The last time I did this and then drove the car the front spoiler was only 3/4" off the ground, wheel / Fender height measured 25 1/2 " - looks to be almost 2" below average height. The adjustment bolts show almost 1 1/2" of thread showing on top of spring. From what I can tell from some tech articles this might be in the lowest setting ?
Has anyone seen a front spring just collapse on both sides just from jacking up the car? This is my first C5 - Have several C4's but never seen this problem.

that dont sound like a problem to me..lol mine is low.... but jack it up and add 2-3 rounds at a time to the front bolts to get it to where you want it..JOHN
Carefully inspect your front spring for cracks. My '98's spring was cracked when I bought it with the same amount of miles. I was scraping on most things, even though the car wasn't lowered at all. I replaced my base suspension spring with a Z06 unit and the ride height came up significantly. Since then I've lowered it down to the max amount with no issues.
Last night got car up on jack stands and found the problem - both sides are broken at the saddle - I'll be changing the spring this weekend.
I know now to get a C5 on a lift and check the springs out before I buy another one.
