If my 2000 vette makes around 500-515 crank hp, should I get new injectors? According to my calculations my injectors would need to be running at about 122% duty cycle to support this! If this is incorrect, please help me, I believe my car is starving for fuel at WOT.
That's less than 450rwhp. Also I think the BSFC value for the LS1 is a lot lower than LT1s or L98s because it seams as though they can support more HP for a given injector. The fuel pressure is almost 50% higher also, which improves volume somewhat.
For heads/cam I would not replace the injectors unless you have the smaller 99/00 injectors. For 97-98 and 01+ you should be fine. With a 383+ ci motor I would run 30lb injectors (in fact that's what I'm going to run on my 388).
Found this older thread. Do i understand right that the 97/98 and 2001+ has bigger injectors than a 99/00 ?
I found a great offer from www.texas-speed.com from Jason. He sells the Z06 Intakes together with a set of fuel injectors (incl. fuel rails) for only 400 US$ (Intake alone for 360 bucks). I was considering buying a Z06 Intake for my 97 MN6 and not shure now if i should go with those injectors too . . . Anybody can give some addvice ?!?
Thanks,
Jochen
