I have just bought my first Corvette, a 99 convertible, and I'm loving it
I'm not one to mod cars too much but I'm already tired of the 1 - 4 Shift feature. After reading blogs and forums till my eyes just about bleed... I see that on the C6 to eliminate that is just a fuse. Could it be that easy on a C5? I think NOT Most of what I have read says that the C5 needs a CAGS eliminator. Is this the only way of handling this issue???

Yes, go buy a CAGS eliminator off the web. Plug it in and go. You will still see the light come on the dash, but the skip function on the transmission will be defeated.
Can also be programmed out. With the CAGS eliminator you still will see the skip shift light come on. When programmed out the light doesn't even come on. Or just drive it aggressively and you will not see the symptom...............
I usually DO drive agressively :-)
But sometimes, I catch myself driving like I'm in a PRIUS or something... LOL
What does it take to program this out?
Will I have to take it to the STEALERSHIP?
