How accurate is c5 tach?

How accurate is c5 tach?

Hey all-

How accurate is the c5 tachometer? Reason I ask is I picked about a second in the quarter on my highly modified 5.0 fox mustang by putting a shiftlight in it as I was short shifting and didn't even know it. I am thinking about adding one to my 03 z06.

a shift light is quicker than reading a gauge.

i would think the C5 tach is accurate.

C5 tech ranges in accuracy, depends on who is posting.

For all intents and purposes the Tach is pretty accurate on the C5's

C4's had quite a bit of issues with the electronics but the C5's accuracy is real close - I know mine is especially when it is hooked up to HP Tuners or the Dyno -

If you get it tuned have them check your Tach against the Dyno!
