LS6 fuel rails do not have pressure regulators on them. The pressure regulator (and fuel return line) is part of the fuel filter.

The '97 and '98 fuel rails (only) have a pressure regulator on it and also have a second line for the fuel return.

a.) Re-use your fuel rail assembly or, b.) install aftermarket fuel rails/regulator assembly.

Lucky's right, the manifold will never know the difference.

Default fuel regulator

I thought it was a regulator, It is connected to the fuel rail like a silver cup where the fuel enters the rail, only my cup is missing. I checked my 1999 ls1 fuel rail and it is there but not on this one i bought. hope this helps to describe it

As already explained, it's not a regulator..UNLESS, it's a fuel rail from a 97-98. On a 99+...it's a fuel damper, as the regulator is integrated into the filter.

Only the '97s and '98s have a pressure regulator attached to the fuel rail. Beginning in '99, the device you see attached to the fuel rail assembly is for dampening and smoothing any pressure pulsations. It is non-serviceable.

The '97s and '98s are easily identifiable as they have two (2) fuel lines. One for supply and one for return. All others (including all LS6s) have one.
In your 2nd post you mention "98", and now you say "my '99". Which is it? My crystal ball is a little dirty today and I'm fresh out of Windex. Me, Lucky, and a lot of other folks are more than willing to try and help answer questions and pass on tips, etc but you gotta work with us and provide enough information to do that. It saves a lot of time and helps you more in the end.

I can't speak to the one (fuel rail) you bought as far as anything missing etc, without pictures. I suggest you contact the person you bought it from. Maybe they can explain what they did, if anything.

Whatever dude. You post a question like that, and it immediately makes people want to clarify exactly what you have. You obviously don't know the difference between the years, so people stepped up to educate you. The reason why the 97-98 years were brought up, was to help you understand, but even with the explanation, I have a feeling it still escapes you.

...and at the end of the day...I'd rather be a smart ***.....than a dumb ***.

You're right. My bad. That's what I get for scrolling down through posts too quickly without noticing the poster's sig.

In any event, just re-use your fuel rail with the Z06 manifold and you're good. The '99 FRC fuel rail is the same one the Z06s used. When I still had my original engine in my '99 that's what I did. Worked great.

I have the 97 style. What is the tiny little plastic line that runs from the regulator up to the intake?

At the end of the day, people would just like straight,insult-free answers to their questions, which is, allegedly, what this forum is supposed to be about.

People can be knowledgeable and helpful without be condescending and rude. Nobody here is omniscient. Most questions can be answered correctly by hundreds of enthusiasts who aren't any type of "***".
