Default Wiper motor - bizarre problem....

Second time, udders were clogged. Soaked motor, wipers barely start to move. What are the chances of letting the motor dry and having it work? Should I pull it and let it dry in the sun? Thoughts?

Well, pulled the motor, took the back off it(electronics part) and dried it out with a hair dryer. I plugged the motor back in and worked fine. All speeds/delays worked. Now here is where it gets odd:

I assembed the wiper arms back on and now it will continue to run with the switch off. It will cycle to 1/3 of the windshield, delay a second then continue. I disassembled the wiper arms and cowl. Tried the motor by itself, works fine.

Then popped on the drivers side wiper arm, works fine. WTF?? Popped on the passengers side......back to the constant motion with switch off.

Ok, what the hell am I missing here?? Is the second wiper adding too much pull on the motor?

So confused....................

The load on the motor is not going to affect the timing. You had the electrical assembly in water, and just drying it with a hairdryer may not always do the trick, because bridges can form under discrete components.......so compressed air is the only way. You most likely need a new assembly. You should use the schematic, and verify the inputs to the motor, from the stalk, before changing any parts.
