2001 C5 no tail or dash lights

2001 C5 no tail or dash lights
Hello all out of the blue my tail lights quit and dash lights all fuses r fine it has a Viper alarm and remote start when I remote start it the parking lights/tail lights flash but,as soon as i deactivate the remote start they do not work... what can i try ? if needed ill pull the alarm/remote start thanx!

Check grounds first, then look for crossed wires between stock wiring harness and your remote starter. If no joy, remove remote starter assembly (which, by the way, are illegal in my home state). Good luck.

For anyone interested.......
I talked with the OP, and had him try the twilight sentinel. The twilight sentinel bypasses the multifunction switch, and turns on the park/tail /marker lights, headlights, and dash lights when the ambient light sensor sends an output to the BCM, which in turn, energizes relay 43. Sure enough, the taillights and dash lights work. We are now down to verifying for certain, that the MFS is bad.....which is a simple check with a meter.

u know what you wonderful guy above me this is why people dont help others out because of homosexuals like yourself that have something to say or roll there homosexual eyeballs at others comments, just trying to help the guy out because my car had the problem of the tail lights and dash lights not coming on, and sure as you are gay, it fixed the problem when i replaced the switch on the dash.

either way lucky is the man without his help I would of never got to where I am/we r ... For me someone he does not know he saved me $$$$ and time that my friend is priceless.. let's try n keep it clean and learn from my experience..

I know right.. Just got off the phone with their manager waiting for a call back for a refund of $82.00 as it was not the BCM..

Thanks Brother this is priceless info will take MFS apart tomorrow and clean and adjust to see if I can get it to work I have had this problem for 2 months on and off and in 10 min. I get the answer and it all works now for U
