Default Easy exit seat system

We've been gone for almost 6 months. The 2000 convert was stored in my garage covered with a battery maintainer attached. The car started right up and runs perfectly, however, there is one small problem. I've tried both fobs and the seat/steering wheel does not move when I enter the car and insert the key. The light (neither 1 or 2) also does not lightup when I insert the key. I can press either light (1 or 2) and the seat and wheel will adjust/move to the correct position and the corresponding lit does lightup. Interestingly, when I pull the key out, either of the fobs ( 1 or 2) the corresponding light on the arm rest comes on and blinks as the seat and wheel go to the "easy exit" position. It worked fine last fall, both when entering and exiting. I have not pulled any codes at this time. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Ron

Have you scrolled through your options to see if it has been turned off for some reason?

agree with above, check to see if the option is turned off.

if it is on, try reprograming the key fobs.

Yes, I've even cycled it "on and off" several times. Thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate it, Ron

PS, I could be wrong but I don't think the fob's are involved with this function, it would seem the key chip is involved with this function.

when the fobs are programed they are givin a number 1-3 depinding on what order they are programed in. that number corisponds with your memory setings. the car will react to what ever fob used to unlock it when key is put in.

Thanks guys for all the suggestions. Damn, getting old is not easy---it just dawned on me that I was NOT locking the door after I exited in my garage and the system must be locked/unlocked to activate the system when you enter and insert the key. on me!!

You may try unhooking your battery for a few minutes and then hook it back up to see if that resets everything.
Just a thought.

I leave mine unlocked in the garage too, you still have to hit UNLOCK on the fob before you insert the key.
