Knock Sensor replacement.

I am sure this has been answered many times but I cant find the answer.

Check engine light on, can't pass smog. Code indicates knock sensor. I want to replace both.

I have seen to different locations under manifold or back of block. I believe them to be under the manifold. I am looking for instructions for intake manifold removal for an LS1 (1999 coupe).

Please help

I did this on my LS1 Bird, they were under the intake. Not that hard to do, I know there is a write up on ls1tech, not sure about on here though.

Under the intake, 2 of them. Replace the plugs at the bottom, both sensors and the pigtail connecting them. Might want to relo the Oil sensor while you there.
