Odd, in that header pic you posted the short cans right after the headers sure look like cats.

My statement still stands that you really need to re-tune after installing headers and the O2's can be fixed then.

I'll get a tune once I have more mods completed. If the defoulers stop trouble codes, I don't see a good reason to get a tune now. We'll see how effective the defoulers are in a few weeks.

I got a code today. P0157, too lean reading on rear O2. If it's reading too lean, doesn't that mean the defoulers were too effective? Maybe I should drill a larger hole in the ends.

Obviously my other options would be to tune it out via HP tuners or buy sims. Handheld tuners don't allow you to tune out the rear o2's do they?

Did you ever get this to work? I'm thinking about buying headers without cats, no emissions here.

Here is what I did to fix it....nothing. I reset the codes twice, then they never came back. I read somewhere that WD40 can cause bad readings for a little while until it burns off. That might have been it. Not sure.

It seems the non-foulers or defoulers are working fine.

Thanks for the follow-up info. Good to hear there is a way around it.

My experience was the codes get fewer and farther in between. I would have suggested buying up an older revision Predator hand held tuner. The older 9.xx revisions allow you to tune out the rear o2's and the EGR system. I bought mine here for $175.

I looked into the non foulers but decided to just plug the holes and tune them out. However I still threw the o2 sensor codes for the front sensors but like I said in time they seldom pop up now. I got good at resetting them with the DIC so really it's a non issue.

I had my car tuned finally after getting the A&A kit installed. During the tune, they turned off the downstread o2's.

Other than that initial check engine light which was likely set due to excess WD40, I had no problems using the non-foulers. Don't let anybody tell you they don't work.

I hear people saying to tune the rear O2 sensors off. My friend works at a shop and has a scanner (not sure of brand) but it can read the sensors live. How do you turn off the rear sensors using the tuner. My friend will do it for me but is there just a button you press? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I replaced my upstream o2 sensors a few weeks ago and then cut off the wires from the rear because I didn't need them anymore since they had been tuned out.

Then I found it the tuning shop forgot to turn off the downstream sensors. I ran this whole time with nothing but non-foulers with no codes.

Again, if anybody tells you non-foulers don't work, they are full of crap!

It's so easy (& cheap) to get them tuned out, I can't imagine why anyone would want to go through all the extra work-around. But you deserve an A+ for effort.
