Default tie rod ends

I put some Moog ends on my 99. They seem heavier than stock and are greasable. Can't go wrong with Moog..

Your kidding right? I just looked at the moog and they are $96 a piece. For a tie rod end... Talk about corvette tax. Anyone else found any good options?

Any other car and they are half that price for the Moog. Tie rod ends shouldnt cost that much especially for Moog.

why what is wrong with Moog? They last for many miles road racing. Part of the cost of making parts is how many will you make. With Corvette being 30,000 per year at best and other vehicles being a million a year they make them cheaper. Moog is a nice heavy unit. If 11 bucks don't make you happy what would?

Don't be so sure! I work part time for one of the "big box" auto parts stores. You'd be amazed at what fron end parts cost these days....and this is from someone who used to rebuild an ENTIRE front end for just over $100.

parts cost are skyrocketing. There dosn't even seem to rhyme or reason on it. I see my mechanic friend getting parts from all OEM's and they cost is nuts. How about 1800 for a wiring harness for the engine on some Japanese SUV. Things that look to be more are not then something simple and it's a fortune.

I bought tie rod ends from ecklers. They cost fourty some bucks. It was a mistake because they are not theaded enough on the inside. When the tierods were in all the way the tires were still toed out 1/2". My advice don't be cheap like me buy good ones like moog.

Nothing wrong with moog except the price of them for our cars.. Sorry I do this **** for a living and I called just about every autoparts store in our area to find great american made products that costed way to much (mostly moog) and eventually found the deal I was looking for on an american made product but it was not local. Just because your overpaying for the same exact piece of equipment doesnt mean you have to try to get in my ****. I was asking for help. Not smart *** attitudes please take that **** elsewhere.

I know what they cost pretty damn well and I have never paid that much for any car and never will If you guys feel the need to get taxed on something just because of a car "name" well thats pretty sad. I found the adjustable bump steer style for the same price as the moog, pretty sad.
