Thanks for the link. They kinda followed the GM service manual procedures. I saw that they changed the converter and all I want to do is swap gears in one car and trans in the other. I was hoping to reduce my work load.

The trans is stacked in between all of the other pieces, so I don't think you have any option but to drop the rear subframe and slide everything back.
However, it might not be much more work to drop the entire drivetrain out, as in a engine swap. That is how I usually do it now. If anyting needs service, I just drop everything out.
