Is this a good, reliable, power upgrade? I'm looking to add some HP to my 99 hardtop (stock) and the reason I'm leaning away from turbo or a SC is cause I'm worried about reliability. I'm out here in the middle of nowhere (del rio TX) for at least 6 months so I can't really take it to a dealer or shop if something goes wrong. Thanks in advance.

Re: ? about LPE 350 CID package (99whitehardtop)
That LPE package is excellent, however, MTI is just as competent, has similar HP pkgs., same warranty as LPE - I think, much quicker turnaround and probably closer.
I have had it for a little over a year now--zero problems, runs strong. However, I would strongly consider the Magnacharger as an option instead of the h/c job--significantly more power and a MUCH broader torque curve for not much more $$$. JMO.
I have the LPE LS1 package and a little more. I needed a new block due to water injestion. Bought the block from LPE and had them build the entire engine, = balancing, blueprinting, working the block, etc. Plus have the Z06 intake and clutch and heads and cam package on LS1 heads with LPE headers. The rest you can see in my signature. The car is very streetable, is a 6 speed and gets close to 30mpg on the road. Idles at 800 rpm and rev limiter is set at 6500 . Has dynoed on two different ocasions at 6 months apart at the listed rwhp and torque #. LPE is very high quality work and backs their work really well. Don't know how close you are to MTI but they also do very fine work and are much closer to you if the car has to go back for fine tuning. My work was done in late Aug. early Sept. Picked car up first week of Sept. Less than three weeks turnaround. Hope this helps. Whiteboy
I bought my 383 L98 package from them back in 1997. It took six months, but it was worth it.(They originally turned me down saying they didn't do L98's...A quick call to a friend who's IROC was there got me right in, THANKS FRANK ;) ) It's had a few teething problems...but they we're corrected by Lingenfelter at NO COST. It is a little inconvenient to have to ship the car to them...BUT again, it didn't cost me anything other than shipping. Dollars to Doughnuts, you'll get back a kick A S S highest quality performing car. If I had to choose a tuner over again, It would STILL be L P E. There is a reason He's in all the magazines always winning and setting records. :D
