Labor prices on Mods?

Labor prices on Mods?
I got some prices today from a local speed shop and I am curious if they sound a little steep? Install rear diff and T/C= 10 hours...Install cam,springs and retainers= 10 hours... Install headers= 5 hours...R&R heads= 5 hours... Any feedback would be appreciated...Thanks,

That sounds a bit overpriced dude..
I mean Iknow they gotta make money, but gimme a break..
I cant give you exact times fo rthe installs, but if you knwo what you are doing, I'd say 1/2 to 2/3 the time they gave you at MOST.

Bring KY if they are going to do it at the same time and hang on to you ankles :eek: I dropped my car for cam @ 10 am and they were riding it down the road at 2 pm

They CANNOT do this by the hour. These are usually fixed charges. Say you have 30 hours there at $100 per hour = $3K, and that's way off in my book.

Let's see now....The Long Tube Headers took about 5-6 hrs...$300
The t/c gear change took about 7 hrs............$650
The Head and cam and pulley took 15 hrs.....$1400
Each install has their own pace they will work at comfortably. You need to find a competant installer rather look for a fast one...IMO:D
