does this flywheel have weights?
BTW, That roll pin that you people are removing is there to locate the correct orientation of the PP to the flywheel.

I've said it in the past and I'll say it again, when you replace your clutch with anything other then stock parts you have to remove the flywheel and have the balance checked with the PP attached.
Then the new package must be balanced exactly the same way or your looking for the biggest head ache of your life!

I am considering a LS7 clutch with an Aluminum Fly wheel. I just need to figure out which Aluminum FW to go with....
I'm sure my tuner knows that you need to transfer the weights from the stock FW to the new one. Hopefully I don't have any on my stock FW.... Fingers crossed. I will be sure to ask him about the weights.
Love the valuable info here !
Thanks !

Anyway, like Bob said. I bolted the original assembly back together as it was on the car and took everything to a shop I found that does zero balancing. They actually new exactly what I was talking about with the C5 external balancing shenanigans and said they'll take care of me. From what I can tell, this is the ONLY way to properly replace everything with aftermarket stuff - Have a shop spin the original assembly, then have them spin the aftermarket stuff and match the balance exactly.
I'll post my results when the job is done, but it may be awhile. I dropped the seats off to be reupholestered and I'm doing some other stuff also.
Oh, also, as a side note - you can see the weights from either side of the flywheel, they just aren't as noticeable from the side I took my picture from because they're recessed so much. On mine there were actually 2 weights right btwn 6-8 o'clock.
