I'm replacing my stock 99 clutch with a LS7 set-up. My stock flywheel has quite a few holes drilled in the back of it which I believe are to balance the flywheel it's self. But there is one hole in the outside ring that has a pin installed in it, which to my knowledge is the weight. If i'm completely wrong, which I could be please correct me. If I take the pin out and place it in the same orientation on the new flywheel would this be sufficient? Keeping in mind that the LS7 flywheel is heavier than the LS1 flywheel.
The pin in the 1st pic is a locating pin for the pressure plate. The holes in the back of the F/W are for balancing. According to the GM service manual the F/W and P/P are a balanced assembly.
